About the Church

Founded in December 2017, FGD Jhanyala Church began as a vision led by Pastor Shafqat Shoukat to establish a place of worship in Jhanyala Village, Batapur. Despite financial challenges, God’s provision enabled the purchase of land and the start of construction.

The foundation was laid on March 24, 2019, and with Easter approaching, work continued day and night. By May 9, 2019, the roof was completed, and by June 26, 2019, the main structure was finished. The church was officially commissioned on July 10, 2019.

Since then, it has hosted New Year’s, Easter, and Christmas services, growing into a beacon of faith. On March 30, 2024, it celebrated its 6th Easter service, and on January 1, 2025, its 6th New Year’s service, marking its continued spiritual impact.

Our Vision

The vision of FGD Jhanyala Church is to be a beacon of faith, hope, and transformation in Jhanyala Village and beyond. Rooted in Christ’s love and the Great Commission, the church strives to:

  • Strengthen the Faithful – Nurture a spiritually strong and united Christian community through worship, teaching, and discipleship.
  • Spread the Gospel – Reach the unreached with the message of salvation and hope in Jesus Christ.
  • Serve the Community – Provide spiritual, emotional, and social support, ensuring holistic development and care for all.
  • Raise Future Leaders – Equip and empower young believers, pastors, and servants of God to carry forward the mission of the church.
  • Build a Lasting Legacy – Establish a firm foundation of faith that will continue to impact generations to come.

Through prayer, dedication, and unwavering trust in God, FGD Jhanyala Church seeks to shine as a light in the darkness, bringing revival and transformation to the region.

Church History

For over 120 years, Jhanyala Village had no church, and nearby villages, some over 70 years old, also lacked places of worship. As a result, the Christian minority had to travel long distances for church or stopped attending altogether.

In December 2017, Pastor Shafqat Shoukat reached the village and, over one year, led evangelism, free medical camps, and community outreach. This won the trust of both Christians and non-believers, enabling FGD to purchase land for a church—a historic first for Jhanyala.

On March 24, 2019, the foundation was laid, and with Easter approaching, construction continued day and night. By May 9, 2019, the roof was installed, and by June 26, 2019, the main structure was completed.

A Pivotal Visit – November 10, 2018.

Prayer on the land to be bought for the FGD Jhandyala Church

On November 10, 2018, Pastor Shafqat Shoukat, Pastor Hamayun Shakeel, and Pastor William Joseph from Saudi Arabia, along with other FGD team members, visited Jhanyala Village as part of FGD’s mission outreach. This visit was a significant step in strengthening ties with the community, reinforcing the vision to establish a place of worship in an area that had never had a church in its 120-year history.

During this time, the team engaged in prayer, evangelism, and community support, further building trust with the Christian minority and non-believers alike. This visit marked a turning point, laying the foundation for FGD’s long-term commitment to the village and paving the way for the eventual construction of FGD Jhanyala Church.

The Token Day for FGD Jhanyala Church Land

A historic milestone in the journey of FGD Jhanyala Church was the Token Day, when the first step toward purchasing the land was taken. On this significant occasion, Pastor Shafqat Shoukat and Pastor Yousaf (Late) met with the Muslim landowner and other church leaders to finalize the agreement.

Amid this important transaction, God’s Word was shared with the landowner and those present, emphasizing peace, unity, and the purpose of building a house of worship for the Christian community. This moment was more than just a financial exchange—it was a testimony of faith, trust, and God’s provision, marking the beginning of the fulfillment of FGD’s vision for Jhanyala Village.

The First Prayer Meetings After the Land Purchase – 2018

After the purchase of land for FGD Jhanyala Church in 2018, the first prayer meetings were held on the newly acquired ground. Pastor Shafqat Shoukat, along with FGD leaders and local believers, gathered to thank God for His provision and dedicate the land for His glory.

These meetings were filled with worship, thanksgiving, and intercession, seeking God’s blessings and guidance for the church’s future. Prayers were offered for the construction process, the spiritual growth of the community, and the fulfillment of God’s purpose in Jhanyala Village. This was a sacred moment, marking the beginning of a house of worship that would stand as a beacon of faith and hope for generations to come.

A Church That Multiplies Generations

By the grace of our amazing God, FGD Ministries continues to advance its vision of church planting through the inspiring journey of the FGD Jhandyala Village Kiln Church. Established in 2018 as a humble House Church, this ministry has grown into a powerful testimony of God’s faithfulness. From 2018 to 2026, the journey has been nothing short of amazing—marked by transformation, perseverance, and the evident hand of God at every step.

What began as a small gathering has now become a thriving center for discipleship, rooted in obedience and multiplication. The mission has never been limited to building a single church, but to raise leaders and establish a Christ-centered community that reflects the heart of the early Church.

At the core of this movement are the timeless principles of the ministry of Jesus Christ and the qualities demonstrated by His first disciples—faith, unity, obedience, and a deep commitment to sharing the Gospel. These foundations continue to guide the growth of the Jhandyala Village Kiln Church, ensuring that every step forward is spiritually grounded and impactful.

Through intentional leadership development and House Church training, believers are being equipped to lead, disciple, and multiply. This approach empowers individuals within the kiln communities to carry the message of Christ into their own environments—creating a ripple effect of hope, identity, and lasting change.

By God’s faithfulness, what started as one House Church has become part of a greater multiplication movement. Today, the church stands as a beacon of transformation—impacting lives, strengthening families, and raising new believers who are walking in Christ.

FGD Jhandyala Village Kiln Church is more than a place of worship—it is a testimony of calling fulfilled. A living example of how God can take something small and grow it into a movement that changes lives. As the journey continues, the vision remains clear: to multiply disciples, plant churches, and extend the Kingdom of God—reaching even the most underserved communities with the power of the Gospel.
