Church History
The story of FGD Riyadh Church did not begin with a gathering—it began with a burden.
For years, Saudi Arabia remained on the heart of FGD Ministries as a land closed to open evangelism, yet deeply in need of the Gospel. What could not be reached through traditional means became the focus of persistent prayer, fasting, and spiritual intercession. Long before any fellowship existed, there were prayers—consistent, costly, and full of faith—that God would make a way where there seemed to be none.
The journey began quietly through relationships. Connections were formed with individuals living and working in Riyadh—many of them migrants carrying spiritual hunger, questions, and a desire for truth. Through personal outreach, one-on-one conversations, and discipleship carried out with wisdom and caution, the first seeds of faith were planted.
As these relationships deepened, small and discreet fellowships began to take shape. These were not public gatherings, but intentional moments of community—held in private spaces, guided by trust, and sustained by a shared commitment to follow Christ despite the risks. Each meeting was marked by prayer, Scripture, encouragement, and a growing sense that God was building something far greater than what could be seen.
Over time, these scattered connections became a consistent body of believers. What started as individual outreach transformed into a functioning underground church—rooted not in structure, but in spiritual unity. Leaders began to emerge from within the community itself, shaped through discipleship and strengthened through real-life challenges of living out faith in a restricted environment.
FGD Riyadh Church was not established in a single moment—it was formed gradually through obedience, sacrifice, and divine provision. Every step forward required wisdom. Every gathering required courage. And every life transformed became a testimony of God’s faithfulness in a place where such stories often remain untold.
Today, the church continues to exist and grow in quiet strength. It remains a living expression of faith—adapting, enduring, and expanding through relationships rather than visibility. Though hidden from the public eye, its impact is real, its foundation is firm, and its mission continues.
This history is not written in buildings or public records.
It is written in lives changed, prayers answered, and faith that refused to give up.
FGD Riyadh Church stands today as a testimony that even in the most closed environments, the Gospel still finds a way—and the Church still rises.
