About the Kiln

For more than 120 years, Jhandyala Kiln stood as a place where the light of the Gospel had never reached—a land overshadowed by deep spiritual darkness, isolation, and generational hardship.

In 2017, that began to change.

FGD Ministries stepped into Jhandyala with a mission to reach the unreached. What started as simple outreach soon became the beginning of a greater journey—a journey of transformation.

Where darkness once held its ground, the light of the Gospel now shines brightly—not only across the kiln but within the hearts of its people.

This is the place where the pursuit of true freedom came alive.

Lives began to change.
Hope began to rise.
Faith began to take root.

Today, Jhandyala Kiln stands transformed.

Together with Jhandyala Church and the Free Dispensary, it has become a beacon of hope for the wider region along the Indo–Pakistan international border—an area long overlooked and forgotten.

But the story does not end here.

What was once a place of silence has now become a sending ground.

From Jhandyala, leaders are being raised, missionaries are being equipped, and the Good News is moving forward—reaching beyond the kiln, beyond the borders, and into the world.

Jhandyala is no longer just a place.

It is a testimony that even the darkest grounds can become the starting point of light for many nations.

Our Vision

Our vision for Jhandyala Village Kiln is simple, yet powerful:

To see lives transformed—one story at a time.

We envision a future where the cycle of generational labor is broken, and new paths are created for dignity, growth, and leadership.

A future where stories like Fiaz Masih become the norm—once a kiln laborer earning only $3–4 a day, now an entrepreneur earning a sustainable income and building a better life.

A future where young lives like Nadir Manga are no longer bound to the kiln, but are instead found in classrooms—learning, growing, and preparing to become transformational leaders.

This is the vision we pursue:

  • To raise individuals from survival to purpose
  • To replace limitation with opportunity
  • To see education, faith, and empowerment reshape entire families

We believe Jhandyala is not meant to remain a place of labor—but to become a place of leaders, change-makers, and testimonies of transformation.

And until that vision becomes reality,
we will continue the work that refuses to stop.

Kiln History

Jhandyala Village Kiln carries a history marked by labor, silence, and long-standing neglect.

For over a century, this kiln has been a place where families have worked under harsh conditions—molding bricks day after day in extreme heat, often earning only enough to survive. Generation after generation has remained tied to the same cycle, with little access to education, healthcare, or opportunity for change.

For more than 120 years, the kiln existed not only in physical hardship but also in deep spiritual isolation. It was a place where the message of hope had never reached, and where communities lived unseen and unheard.

In 2017, that history began to shift.

FGD Ministries entered Jhandyala Village Kiln with a mission to reach those who had long been overlooked. What began as outreach soon grew into a sustained presence—bringing not only medical care and education, but also the message of the Gospel.

Since then, the kiln has witnessed the beginning of transformation.

Where once there was only labor, there is now learning.
Where there was isolation, there is now community.
Where there was silence, there is now a growing voice of hope.

Today, Jhandyala Kiln stands at a turning point in its history—not just as a place known for bricks, but as a place where lives are being rebuilt, and a new future is being shaped.

“Where bricks were once the only future, God is now building lives, leaders, and a new generation in Jhandyala.”

Jhandyala Kiln School

Education in Jhandyala Village Kiln is not just a service—it is a breakthrough.

For generations, children in the kiln have grown up surrounded by labor instead of learning. Many begin working at an early age, with little to no access to schools, books, or guidance. The cycle is simple: what the parents lived, the children inherit.

FGD Ministries stepped in to interrupt that cycle.

Building a Different Future

Basic Education Access

Providing foundational learning in reading, writing, and comprehension for children who have never stepped into a classroom.

Faith-Based Learning

Teaching not only literacy, but also the Word of God—raising children with both knowledge and spiritual grounding.

Safe Learning Environments

Creating spaces where children are free to learn, grow, and dream beyond the kiln.

Raising Future Leaders

Identifying and nurturing young minds who will one day lead their communities with vision and integrity.

From Labor to Learning

Every child who learns to read is a step toward freedom.
Every lesson taught is a break in the cycle of generational labor.

We are already witnessing transformation:

Children who once carried bricks are now carrying books.
Young lives once defined by survival are now shaped by possibility.

The Vision Ahead

Our goal is not only to educate—but to transform an entire generation.

We envision a Jhandyala where:

  • Every child has access to education
  • No child is forced into labor for survival
  • Young people rise as educated, faith-filled leaders

The journey is ongoing, and the need is still great.

But with every child reached,
the future of Jhandyala is being rewritten.

Jhandyala Kiln Free Dispensary

The Jhandyala Free Dispensary stands as a lifeline in a place where access to healthcare has long been out of reach.

Established on October 25, 2025, this dispensary was created to serve kiln workers and surrounding villages who otherwise have little to no access to medical care. For many, even the most basic treatment was once a distant luxury.

Today, that is beginning to change.

Patients who once suffered in silence are now receiving care.
Families who could not afford medicine now find help without cost.
A community long neglected is finally being seen.

A Growing Impact

Despite limited resources, the dispensary continues to serve patients daily—treating common illnesses, infections, and chronic conditions.

But this is only the beginning.

With proper support, the Jhandyala Dispensary has the potential to grow from serving a handful of patients each day to reaching hundreds monthly, even thousands—transforming healthcare access across the region.

The Challenges We Face

The mission continues, but not without struggle.

Staff Salaries

Dedicated workers are serving with limited or inconsistent support. Sustaining qualified staff remains one of the greatest challenges.

Medicine Shortages

The demand far exceeds supply. Many patients cannot receive full treatment due to limited medical resources.

Transportation Barriers

Located nearly 80 km (50 miles) from our main medical base, reaching the dispensary requires significant time, cost, and logistics. This limits both consistency and expansion.

Why It Matters

Every challenge represents a life waiting to be served.

A patient waiting for treatment.
A child needing care.
A family hoping for relief.

The Jhandyala Dispensary is more than a medical center—it is a place of restoration, dignity, and hope.

And with the right support, it can become a fully functioning center of healing for thousands who have nowhere else to turn.

A Mission That Continues

We have come this far—but the work is not finished.

The need is urgent.
The opportunity is great.
And the impact is real.

Together, we can ensure that no one in Jhandyala is left without care.

Clothes Distribution at Jhandyala Kiln

In Jhandyala Village Kiln, many families struggle to afford even basic clothing. Children and workers often wear worn-out garments, facing harsh weather with little protection.

Through our clothes distribution efforts, FGD Ministries provides seasonal clothing to children and families—meeting a simple but urgent need.

But this is more than clothing.

It is a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

Each distribution restores dignity, brings comfort, and reflects compassion in action—reaching lives in one of the most overlooked communities.

The Problems We Face in Jhandyala Kiln

Medical Challenges

Access to healthcare remains extremely limited in Jhandyala Village Kiln. Most families cannot afford treatment, and the local dispensary struggles with medicine shortages, limited staff salaries, and transportation barriers. As a result, many illnesses go untreated, turning preventable conditions into serious health risks.

Education Barriers

Children in the kiln community face significant obstacles to education. Many are forced into labor at an early age, with little to no access to schools, learning materials, or structured environments. Without intervention, the cycle of illiteracy and generational labor continues.

Sponsorship Needs

The scale of need far exceeds available resources. From supporting students and sustaining education programs to funding medical care and community outreach, there is a critical shortage of consistent sponsorship. Without ongoing support, expansion remains limited and many lives remain unreached.

Jhandyala Kiln stands at a point where the need is urgent—but the opportunity for transformation is even greater.

Jhandyala Village Kiln is changing—but the need is still great.

You can be part of this transformation.
