About the Church

FGD New Green Town Church stands as a testimony of perseverance, faith, and unwavering commitment to the Gospel in the midst of significant resistance. Since 2015, Pastor Peter (Ashiq) Masih has faithfully served in this community, dedicating his life to ministering, discipling, and sharing the message of Christ despite ongoing challenges from the surrounding environment.

The church is located in an area predominantly inhabited by the Banjara community—a people group historically known for having no firmly established religion. Over time, many within this community have identified themselves as Muslims, largely influenced by social, cultural, and administrative factors. While Islam is the state religion and often associated with certain societal benefits, it is important to understand that the Banjara community has traditionally operated without a defined religious structure, often aligning themselves with whichever religious identity offers the most practical advantage.

In this context, national registration systems such as NADRA have facilitated the classification of many Banjara individuals as Muslims by default. However, the deeper reality reflects a community still in search of spiritual truth and identity.

Amidst this unique and complex setting, Pastor Peter (Ashiq) Masih, with the ongoing support of FGD Ministries, has remained steadfast in his calling. Through consistent outreach, relational ministry, and faithful witness, the church continues to grow as a place of hope, transformation, and spiritual foundation for those seeking truth.

FGD New Green Town Church is more than a gathering—it is a mission field, a place of endurance, and a light shining in a community that is gradually encountering the Gospel in a personal and life-changing way.

Our Vision

The vision of FGD New Green Town Church is to stand as a powerful beacon of faith, truth, and transformation in New Green Town and beyond. Rooted deeply in the love of Christ and the Great Commission, the church is committed to advancing a living, active faith in a community searching for true spiritual identity.

We strive to:

Ignite True Transformation – Lead individuals into a genuine and life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ, moving beyond inherited or convenience-based beliefs into a firm foundation of truth.

Establish Spiritual Clarity and Identity – Guide the community toward a clear understanding of faith, helping individuals discover their identity in Christ rather than in shifting social or cultural influences.

Strengthen and Disciple Believers – Build a spiritually strong, united church through consistent teaching, discipleship, and the practical application of God’s Word.

Advance the Gospel Boldly – Reach the unreached with the message of salvation, sharing the hope of Jesus Christ with perseverance, wisdom, and love despite resistance.

Raise and Empower Local Leaders – Equip and develop men and women from within the community to lead, disciple, and carry the mission forward with confidence and faithfulness.

Multiply Through House Churches – Foster a movement of growing fellowships that expand organically, ensuring the Gospel continues to spread deeply and sustainably.

Serve with Compassion and Purpose – Demonstrate Christ’s love through spiritual care, relational ministry, and practical support, impacting lives holistically.

Build a Lasting Kingdom Legacy – Establish a strong and enduring foundation of faith that will influence families and generations to come.

Through prayer, resilience, and unwavering trust in God, FGD New Green Town Church seeks to shine as a light in the midst of resistance—bringing hope, clarity, and transformation to a community that is being drawn toward the truth of the Gospel.

Church History

FGD New Green Town Church was established in 2015, marking the beginning of a faithful and persevering Gospel witness in a community marked by spiritual uncertainty and lack of clarity. From its earliest days, the church has stood as a shining light in the darkness—bringing the peace, truth, and hope of Jesus Christ to those searching for meaning and identity.

Under the dedicated leadership of Pastor Peter (Ashiq) Masih, and with the continued support of FGD Ministries, the work began through consistent outreach, personal relationships, and discipleship. Despite facing social pressure, cultural resistance, and opposition from within families, the message of the Gospel took root. Over the years, approximately 50 families have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour—each story a testimony of courage, transformation, and unwavering faith.

These believers have not only remained steadfast in their commitment but have also become active witnesses within their own households and communities. Through their boldness and faithfulness, the Gospel has continued to spread, effectively multiplying across generations and fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ in a living and practical way.

While the church has been active in ministry since 2015, a significant milestone was reached in 2025 with the completion of the church building. Due to limited financial resources, construction faced multiple delays and interruptions over the years. However, by God’s amazing grace and provision, the building was finally completed in early 2025.

The commissioning ceremony that followed marked a historic moment—not just the completion of a structure, but the affirmation of a decade of faithful labour, endurance, and spiritual growth. The church building itself stands uniquely, constructed above the home of Pastor Peter (Ashiq) Masih, with the upper portion developed through the support of FGD Ministries. This reflects both the humility and sacrifice behind the work, as well as the determination to establish a permanent place of worship despite limitations.

Today, FGD New Green Town Church continues to stand as a testimony of God’s faithfulness—an enduring light in the community, rooted in truth, growing in strength, and committed to advancing the Gospel for generations to come.

Built on Sacrifice, Commissioned in Victory

Commissioning Ceremony – FGD New Green Town Church November 24, 2025

The Commissioning Ceremony of FGD New Green Town Church, held on 24 November 2025, marked a historic and deeply significant milestone in the life of the ministry—a moment that reflected not only the completion of a building, but the culmination of years of faith, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to the work of God.

After nearly a decade of continuous ministry since its establishment in 2015, the church witnessed the fulfillment of a long-awaited promise. Despite repeated delays in construction due to limited financial resources, and seasons where progress seemed uncertain, the vision never faded. Through every challenge, Pastor Peter (Ashiq) Masih and the FGD team remained steadfast, trusting in God’s provision and perfect timing.

By the grace of God, the church building was finally completed in early 2025. Constructed above the home of Pastor Peter (Ashiq) Masih, the structure stands as a powerful symbol of sacrifice, commitment, and determination to establish a place of worship regardless of limitations. What once began in humble gatherings had now become a dedicated space set apart for the glory of God.

The commissioning ceremony itself was a joyful and Spirit-filled occasion. On that day, believers gathered with hearts full of gratitude, celebrating not just a physical structure, but the faithfulness of God throughout the journey. It was a time of worship, thanksgiving, and rededication—honouring the lives that had been transformed, the families that had come to faith, and the enduring light of the Gospel in the community.

Leaders and members reflected on the journey—from resistance and uncertainty to growth and establishment. The ceremony stood as a declaration that FGD New Green Town Church is not only built on physical foundations, but on the unshakable truth of God’s Word and the testimonies of those who have encountered Christ.

More than an inauguration, the commissioning was a sending forth—a renewed commitment to continue the mission with greater strength and vision. It marked the beginning of a new chapter, where the church stands equipped and positioned to expand its impact, raise leaders, and carry the Gospel even further.

Today, the commissioned church stands as a beacon of hope and a testimony of God’s faithfulness—reminding all who gather that what God begins, He faithfully brings to completion.

Ordination of Pastor Peter (Ashiq) Masih

November 24,2025

The ordination of Pastor Peter (Ashiq) Masih marked a profound and defining moment in the journey of FGD New Green Town Church. While he had faithfully served as a pastor since 2015—shepherding the people, preaching the Gospel, and nurturing believers through seasons of resistance and growth—this ordination signified a deeper affirmation and expansion of his calling.

This sacred moment was not the beginning of his ministry, but the recognition of a life already poured out in service to God and His people. It was a public declaration of what had long been evident: a shepherd chosen, tested, and proven in the field.

Through his ordination, Pastor Peter (Ashiq) Masih was formally entrusted with greater responsibility as the in-charge and local pastor of the church. He now stands not only as a servant-leader, but as a spiritual shepherd with a defined flock—called to care, guide, protect, and nurture those whom God has placed under his watch.

This calling carries both honour and weight. As a shepherd, he is entrusted to tend to the spiritual well-being of the believers, to lead with compassion, to correct with wisdom, and to serve with humility. His role is to ensure that the flock grows not only in number but in maturity, rooted deeply in the Word of God and grounded in faith.

Furthermore, his ordination is a commissioning to multiply—to raise new leaders, disciple believers, and expand the reach of the Gospel within the community and beyond. The flock entrusted to him is not his own, but belongs to God Himself, the Chief Shepherd, who has now appointed Pastor Peter as a faithful steward of His people.

This moment stands as both a celebration and a charge: a celebration of God’s faithfulness through the years, and a charge to move forward with renewed authority, deeper responsibility, and unwavering dedication to the calling.

The ordination of Pastor Peter (Ashiq) Masih is not merely a title bestowed, but a divine assignment affirmed—marking a new chapter of leadership, stewardship, and Kingdom impact for the glory of God.

Raising Gospel Carriers in the Midst of Resistance

A Church That Multiplies Generations

The Evangelism Training of New House Church Leaders at FGD New Green Town Church stands as a vital pillar in the church’s mission to advance the Gospel and multiply believers within the community. In a setting marked by spiritual uncertainty and social resistance, this training equips local leaders to confidently and effectively share the message of Jesus Christ.

This initiative focuses on raising and strengthening leaders from within the church—men and women who are already serving in house fellowships and are positioned to reach their own families, neighbours, and surrounding communities. Through intentional teaching and practical guidance, these leaders are trained not only in the foundational truths of the Gospel but also in how to communicate it with clarity, boldness, and compassion.

The training emphasizes relational evangelism—reaching people through trust, consistency, and Christ-like character. Leaders are encouraged to engage in meaningful conversations, address questions with wisdom, and stand firm in their faith despite opposition or pressure. They are also taught how to disciple new believers, ensuring that those who come to faith are nurtured, grounded, and integrated into a growing spiritual family.

What makes this training especially impactful is its multiplication effect. As house church leaders are equipped, they in turn disciple others, creating a chain of Gospel-centered growth that extends beyond the walls of a single gathering. This reflects the early church model—simple, reproducible, and deeply rooted in community.

Despite challenges, the leaders trained through this program have shown remarkable courage and dedication. They continue to carry the Gospel into places where it is not easily received, becoming living testimonies of faith and perseverance.

The Evangelism Training of House Church Leaders is not just a program—it is a movement. It is shaping a generation of bold witnesses who are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission, ensuring that the light of Christ continues to spread throughout New Green Town and beyond.
